Hello, all,

I'm trying to switch some of my dialup users over from an HP 2334A
Plus X.25 multiplexer to an X.25 card installed in a DTC72MX. Both are
connected to Tymnet. This is not going as well as I would have liked.
The problem I'm running into is that the new connection doesn't function
exactly as the old one did, specifically, you can't do a single character
read from the terminal. The user must press the return key before the
data is sent. Looking at the 2334, there is a local parameter you can
set, number 24, to download a profile to the remote calling PAD. This
appears to allow you to modify the calling PAD's parameters after you
connect. I assume this is where we could change the data forwarding
characteristics of the calling PAD so they match our local settings.
We've exhausted HP's resources on this, so I'm looking for any help I
can get. The 2334A manual explicitly mentions the capability to
download a configuration to the remote PAD, but I see no such thing
in the "Configuring host based X.25 links" manual, which is all I
have for the DTC72/X.25 card.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on this? HP seems to be
at a loss.

Thanks, Bob Rose
