Basic Function: San Francisco Defined Contribution Information
Services has an opening for Programmer/Systems Analyst. Work on a
variety of projects and ongoing assignments for existing clients and
to assist in the development and maintenance of new systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Make modifications to existing base of Defined Contribution record
keeping system programs.
· Gain knowledge and experience of Defined Contribution projects and
ongoing assignments by working within existing client teams.
· Take personal responsibility for assessing, understanding and
meeting internal and external client expectations.
· Assist in applying new tools, such as Access, Crystal Reports and
other Windows based tools in the analysis and manipulation of Defined
Contribution plan data.
· Assist Information Services in providing new and enhanced solutions
to improve workflow and efficiencies.
· Perform special projects as requested.
· Report to manager of Defined Contribution Information Services.
Qualifications: The "ideal" candidate for this position will have
the following qualifications:
· Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities
· Interest in learning new programming languages, tools and techniques
as needed
· Desire to actively participate in team efforts to meet and exceed
client expectations
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Technical requirements:
· Familiar with Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups environments
· HP3000 operating system, utilities and third party solutions
· Some familiarity with RPG or COBOL
· Experience with employee benefit or other financial systems
· Using Access and/or Excel for data manipulation
· Helpful technical skills
· Database programming and design fundamentals
· Visual Basic 4.0 or other Windows development environments
· Speedware
· IVR systems
· WEB based systems
