It was more the room availability than pricing that I was emphasizing. The
room I got is probably smaller (Ivy Tower Queen) than the ones reserved for
the conference. Both hotels told me yesterday there were no rooms available
at any price for the five nights 8/10-8/15.

P.S., I just checked the web site for the headquarters hotel and they are
now showing rooms availability. So it remains a mystery what happened
yesterday.
