Jim

We had a similar experience when HP introduced DDS. We
were still on reel tapes, but lo and behold - we get DDS media.

When we requested reels, what did we get again? DDS.

A second request (third shipment) - we again, got DDS.

A call to our SE got us the reels that we needed.

This was several years ago, when HP was having real
troubles with their support - they have gotten better (and
we have DDS now) although as we know - HP can still do
better in the support department - as was so evident in the
surveys at this past HPWorld.

Best,
Joe Geiser

Subject: Media for 5.5

I just received my 5.5 distribution, and lo and behold it is on
CD-ROM. As I run a 935 sans CD-ROM I presume that I will have to ask
HP Support for new media. However I was wondering if anyone could
enlighten me as to why HP would change the distribution media to a
supported installation without instructions to do so.

Regards,
Jim
