These are two different issues.  HP has said that they will release
future HP3000 models based on the PA8000 series of PA-RISC 2.0 chips.
They have *not* said whether the operating system will be changed to
make use of the 64bit features of these chips.  Without these changes
it's just like 16bit DOS running on a 32bit Pentium CPU.  Sure it's
faster, but it's probably half the speed it could be and you still are
stuck with all the old limitations.
