Interesting problem and solution.
FYI - You may already know, but it's so handy I have to mention it. Tracing
need not stop in an INVOKEd program. Instead of a diagnostic PRINT, an
INPUT (or equiv) can be used in CSREG1. When the "?" comes up, CTRL-Y and
add your TRACE statements before resuming. It may not have helped in this
case, given the effect of adding the PRINT.
