It depends on who does the adding.

If a cpu is added, it is "supposed" to result in a CPU name change.

However,  the person doing the work needs to:

1. know that the name should change
2. know what it should change to (I believe he/she could change it to any
string desired - there is very little validation editing if any)
3. have the magic program (ss_config??) to effect the change.
