Rob, please (as a suggestion...) try this :

:outfence14;ldev=6
:abortio 6
(maybe more than once.... It should kill the spooler process on your
virtual systems printer)
:spooler6;start

What I understand happened to you is a very classical glitch on MPE/iX
systems that have a configured but not physically present systems printer
(ldev 6, class LP)

Another possibility would be that system permanent disk space is exhausted.
If procedure above does not work, check disk space as follows :

:discfree a
(gives you how disk space is allocated and used)

If procedures #1 and #2 above do not work, well, maybe time to call HP; Or
post another message here. Or say a little prayer.

Christian

Objet: Jobs in wait state on newly-installed MPE6.0 sys

Help please for a half-literate MPE person (Classic 3000). Recently
acquired used 957RX. Jobs set in wait state in queue. Interactive
sessions work, networking works,   HP3000 C.60.00.  Jobfence 0;
Jobsecurity Low; Limit 6,60; Jobpri cs,ds; Streams 10. Don't understand
why they don't execute. The only thing I see that I'm not sure of is
that LDEV6 (LP) is UNAVAILABLE and, therefore, not spooled. Could this
be hanging the jobs up? System is configured for a HP2567B on LDEV6
Path 52.8.0 but don't have one physically attached.
TIA ... Rob Havens
