Tom,

Sorry to hear about your health. Your server and peripherals sound amazingly like the one I used to own. I had to sell mine to a British chap in Texas. I hope it finds a good home......

Subject: [HP3000-L] Ot: OT - HP3000-918RX For Sale

I'm forced to sell my HP3000-918RX.

Due to a heart attack, by-pass surgery and a pacemaker (ICD) implant (nothing to do with old age, of course) I now have to move in with my daughter, son-in-law and grandson, and there's no room for my 918.

I'm now in the process of dismantling it, packing it into boxes, and moving it into storage.
It's running 7.5 and was fully patched before you-know-who gave up on it.

If you are interested in buying it, please let me know and I'll send pics.

A quick spec is as follows:
1 x HP3000 Series 918RX, racked in a Full-height cabinet,
512 Mb memory,
with a DDS-2 tape drive and a CD drive running 7.5 (fully patched).

2 x internal discs (2 GB each).
1 x HP700/94 Terminal
1 x HP Console cable
1 x HP Keyboard and cable

I have an SLT tape, Prod/Subsys, etc, and all the patches and manuals on CD.

HP3000/RX, A3117AW (Rackmount)
1 x Mod 20; with 20 x 4GB disks; 2 x SP620's both with 16MB RAM; 3 x power supplies; but no BBU;
2 x 28696A (double-high) FW SCSI adapters for the 2 SP620s.
2 x HP DLT4000D tape drives;
1 x HP A3312A HASS with 2 DDS2 drives; 2 x power supplies; 2 x cooling fans, and 2 x open bays.

SPARES.
1 x 28696A FW SCSI adapters (spare)
1 x DDS3 tape drive (spare)
5 x ST15150N 4GB discs (spare)
2 x ST34371N 4GB discs (spare)
1 x Half-height cabinet (spare)

8 x DDS3 new unopened tapes
23 x DDS2 new, unopened tapes
20 x DDS2 new HP5707A unopened tapes
10 x DLT IV new, unopened tapes

I have it currently configured with the 2 x 28696A FW SCSI adapters.
The 4 x 28642A SE SCSI adapters are held as spares.

Racked but disconnected:
1 x HP6000 SCSI SE disc enclosure with 5 x 2Gb discs.
1 x HP Hub Plus.

18 x Cosmetic Filler Panels for the rack.

An endless list of cables, connectors and terminators for the above.

The price is $2,000.00 and the buyer pays the shipping.

Kindest Regards,
Tom.
