sure I have, that's why I know there isn't torture or wiretaps or 
unprovoked wars going on.

1.  Torture - where and how?
2.  Wiretaps?  let's see, there is a list of foreign phone numbers 
being monitored - FOREIGN, and they track it even if it comes in to 
the US or out of the US to that number - it has not been used for 
indictments, it has been used to gather intelligence.  I for one, and 
most of the country think this is a good idea.
3.  Unprovoked war?  Let me put it at its simplest.  We had a war 
with Iraq in the early 90's, you might have heard of it, it was the 
Gulf War.  There was a cease fire and terms associated with that 
cease fire, Iraq did not abide those terms despite many many chances 
- we resumed hostilities.
