Maybe you have to insert the 'bytestream' command before transferring the file ?

Subject: [HP3000-L] KSAMXL questions

I have 9f)copied the original data file ACCTK02D.DATA to
ACCTK02T.LOCAL using 'fcopy
from=ACCTK02D.DATA;to=(ACCTK02T.LOCAL);new',set the file equation
'FILE ACCTK02D=ACCTK02T.LOCAL' and run the QTP process to perform the
data extract. This produces similar results as with the original
uncopied file.

The actual records are in a different order now, but the same pair of
nul records occur at mod 81 intervals through out the output file.
There are no nul records in ACCTK02T.LOCAL, nor any indication of any
corrupt data. I tried to move the copied KSAMXL file off the HP3000
and onto a Linux box to examine the file contents but when I try to
put
ACCTK02T into the ftp drop box using the HP3000 ftp client I get this
error:

ftp> cd push
250 Directory successfully changed.
ftp> put QPCSVAAQ
200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.
150 Ok to send data.
226 Transfer complete.
817275 bytes sent in 1.81 seconds (441.93 Kbytes/sec)
ftp> put ACCTK02T
Data Transfer Request Failed. (FTPERR 13)
ftp>

There are no other error messages. Just that the Data Transfer Request
Failed for that particular file.
