...and a further link from there suggests that European Regulatory
Agencies could scuttle the deal. See :

It seems that Carly is becoming increasingly beleaguered as her future
depends on the merger going through. The board seems to back her but
then they stand to receive a lifetime "bonus" if it goes through. One
has to wonder if they really have the good of the company at heart. In
addition, Carly (or her team) have made a big mistake attacking Walter
Hewlett on a personal level. Things are getting interesting.
