It is with great pride that I throw out my first official Stupid Linux
Question (SLQ?). Better still, it demonstrates how far along I am in my
efforts with Linux *.

I have, at home, downloaded valhalla-i386-disc1.iso from
<ftp://ftp.cse.buffalo.edu/pub/Linux/redhat/ftp.redhat.com/linux/7.3/en/iso/
i386/>, twice, and burned it to two Imation and one Fuji CD-Rs, in a known
good Plextor CD-RW, using the bundled software, burning at default speeds.
In all three cases, running "linux mediacheck" on any of these CDs, in three
different systems, reports "failed". I'm at a complete loss to know what to
do next.

I'm planning on trying the industrial grade CD burner in our office. I've
contemplated trying to download a different image, but expect that someone
at buffalo.edu would have noticed if their image were somehow corrupted.

How should I proceed?
