For a few DECADES years now, I have been patiently searching for
"the perfect cup" (of whatever -- coffee, Chai tea, you name it).

My main research subject has been the "frothed milk" part.

One can't pursue EVERYTHING passionately within a limited lifetime,
so I explicitly chose to specialize in this -- admittedly limited
and narrow-minded -- aspect of The Universe).

A few days ago, the UPS delivery woman drove her gigantic brown
truck to my house and dropped off an innocent-looking (also brown)
box. I opened the box and, inside, was the perfect answer to my
decades-long quest: http://www.capresso.com/prod_frothers.html

I have tossed all other legacy milk-frothing stuff in my house
and I am happy to report that I was able to complete 100% of my
migration within 45 minutes or so.

Even oatmeal tastes superbly better with fresh, hot, perfectly
frothed milk on top. Add a dash of cinnamon and some organic
raisins from California (not to mention sliced bananas from
Guatemala and Demerara sugar from Mauritius) and you know that
you did the right thing with this migration.

I love the deep sense of satisfaction that such a migration -- from
a substandard situation to an outstanding one -- produces. There
is nothing like it! I believe that it is fundamentally ingrained,
in our human nature, to strive to go from a bad situation to a much
better situation.

I know that I should keep all of this proprietary information
under lock and key (after all, it took me YEARS to run into
the URL that I so freely shared above). But, in the spirit of
open software, I am delighted to contribute it for the benefit
of the worldwide MPE-Image community.

Perhaps somebody who has top-level connections with HP management
can convince them to procure a frothXpress (US$ 69.99) for the
HP booth at the next HP World (Chicago, August 16-20, 2004). It
would be the perfect thing to have at their migration station.

Enjoy,
