In all fairness to IBM, I believe that this is the result of their
research into nanotechnology, although I thought no products from that
research were going to be available for a few years. I do remember a
link to an IBM press release or news story about that research was
posted here some months ago. Unfortunately, my web search for
+microdrive, even refining with +ibm, while yielding interesting
results, does not readily take me to more information. The link from
http://www.ibm.com provides more marketing than technical information.
