HI Steve,

Sorry to respond so late, but I just received the HP3000-L mail
a few minutes ago. The TZ variable defines what "TimeZone"
your in. You should probably set this system wide since more
and more software is expecting it. If your in the eastern
time zone (which I guessing do to the time of your posting),
you'd say: SETVAR TZ = "EST5EDT" Now many things
in the Posix shell also need to know the TimeZone, so you
may want to edit your /etc/profile file and: export TZ=EST5EDT
from there.

Regards,
Michael L Gueterman

Subject: [HP3000-L] Samba07. Proper TZ recommended ?

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to get Samba07 up and running. I am receiving the following when streaming JSMB.SAMBA.SYS. I don't have a clue what TZ is?
