NO Elizabeth did not say "....... were they merely nominal board members of companies that went belly up?" - Snopes said that -

I was trying to point out that the original email was vague and really didn't have much substance - Just because we all see a list of items that someone states are "true" doesn't mean we should accept that information as fact - lets do some research.

Having said that, I agree with Chuck when he said "Well maybe we, those of us here in the United States, should take more time and study the history of our candidates running for political office and encourage other voters to do the same before next November, when we elect the House of Representatives." I would add this should be true for every election.

You may wish to take every email you receive as gospel - in which case I guess that means you will be heading off to Nigeria soon to pick up your boxes of money - I however prefer to question the source of the material, do research and come to my own conclusions

Elizabeth says: "....... were they merely nominal board members of companies that went belly up?"

What is a "nominal board member"? Are they the ones who neglect their fudiciary responsibilities and let things get
completely out of hand (and criminal?) like Enron? Are they the ones that allow outrageous compensation to executives for
sub standard (really poor) performance (insert lots of names here)?

Part of the problems we are currently seeing in the market place have been caused by boards of directors being "padded"
with management "yes men" who fail to seriously question and challenge management.
