Ummm, Jerry and Mark, it *is* a "v"...  a pair of them to be precise.  ;)

Looked like a "w" to me too until I clicked on the monospace font button in
EudoraPro.  :)  While it's probably unsupported to put the "v" in twice, I
suspect it's not the problem here (though I haven't tried it to be
sure).  Have any other guesses?  (Mine is that the tar files got clobbered
somewhere, someway, somehow in their journey to his system. :))
