The escape gave the local TV helicopter airforce something else to cover
besides the car chases for which L.A. is so famous.

In the 10 PM news story that I watched last night, a zoo person commented that
the noise from multiple hovering helicopters was scaring the gorilla and not
making the situation any easier.

On rare occasion, the flock of news helicopters has hovered over my parts of
neighboring Orange County, and it does make a rather loud racket.
