I have a stupid question...typically, in editor or quad or whatever
editor, the control-y trap works just fine when you first get in the
program, but over time, I tend to lose the trap and get stuck watching a
"list all" go by on the screen.  Mostly, I don't even use list all
anymore on large files, but sometimes I forget and do it by accident.
Why does this happen and how can you work around it?  Just curious.
