They're configurable but not from the front panel. You need to use Printer
Job Language (PJL) to set these parameters. Try sending the following:
 
<esc>%-12345X@PJL
@PJL DEFAULT FORMLINES=nnn
@PJL DEFAULT FONTNUMBER=nnn
@ENTER LANGUAGE = PCL
 
where each nnn is replaced with the number you want. Make sure that you
follow the line boundaries of the above example exactly; PJL, unlike PCL,
is line-oriented.
 
Alternatively, you can use the Windows or Mac software that came with the
printer to set these values -- assuming that you have a suitable computer
connected.
