HP Extends Support of MPE/iX 4.0

Hewlett-Packard Company's Commercial Systems Division recently announced
the extension of support for MPE/iX 4.0 until the release of MPE/iX 5.5.
MPE/iX 5.5 availability is currently planned for mid-1996.
 
Customers will be able to purchase Add-On software products for existing
MPE/iX 4.0 systems for as long as MPE/iX 4.0 is supported.  However, customers
who have MPE/iX 4.0 on their systems will not be able to purchase any of the
currently supported mass storage devices for MPE/iX 4.0 after March 1, 1996.
After March 1, 1996, customers will have to upgrade to MPE/iX 5.0 in order to
purchase the new mass storage devices.
