Okay, I promise I am going to buy a book on Perl programming, but I am
beating my head against the wall on this problem. Remember the search
script that I got working yesterday? Well, not being content with the
content it produced, I wanted to add some graphics and buttons and stuff
like the other pages have on them. So, I copied all that stuff from another
page's source and dumped it into the search script (a whole lotta print's).
Now I am getting an error when it runs:
JIM,MGR.APACHEFW,PUB 1:37 PM> perl.pub.perl "-w
/APACHEFW/PUB/cgi-bin/search"
invalid top directory at /PERL/PUB/lib/perl5/5.6.0/File/Find.pm line 279.
And this is in the Apache error log:
[Wed Sep 26 12:41:14 2001] [error] (2)No such file or directory: exec of
/APACHEFW/PUB/cgi-bin/search failed
So, says I, let's see what line 279 is in the search script and it turns out
to be an end-if. Well, I thought, I'll just delete that whole if-endif
construct and see what happens. The error stays the same; that is, it's
still giving me the same error on line 279, only now line 279 is something
else. So, now I am wondering what line 279 it is referring to: the script,
or the print-ed output?
Any ideas?
