using mpex the only process accessing the file is netcp.net.sys (i will
assume this is a system process and does things for all network issues)
I'm a bit leery of aborting this process.

the network control commands previously issued are
continue
stopspool netlp
continue
nscontrol stop
continue
snmpcontrol stop
continue
netcontrol stop;net=loop
continue
netcontrol stop;net=lan1

i would have thought this would have stopped enough processes.

is it safe to abort netcp.net.sys. pin on current boot is 39.

Re: patchix phase 2

Larry,

I'm not in a position to test this, but given a similar problem recently
I chose to listf ,9 on the file and then do a ABORTPROC on the pin.

Though perhaps you can bring your network down?

Good luck.

Dave
