I often wonder why the H-P division responsible for manufacturing "dumb"
terminals never switched to the emulator business (or entered into an
agreement with an existing emulator vendor), when they figured out why
HP700/9x sales were dropping ;).

They could probably have "bundled" it in with the user license, and maybe by
now it would have been "GUI enabled" or at least prettier than uniform
green/orange/white, at least for VPPLUS and PowerHouse.

Regards

Neil

Sorry to refocus on the original question, but I would also be
curious to learn more about the use of / evolution to GUI or web
interfaces to the 3000, i.e. what tools people are using and in
what context, for what purpose. And, of course, what experiences
they can share (good or bad).
