I read this question two ways, so I'll give two answers:

If you're looking for a compression utility, gzip is what I'd recommend.
(Heck, I ported it so of course, I would recommend it). LZW from Telamon
is another good utility and may be more appropriate if you want to
preserve MPE file characteristics.

If you're looking for a utility that runs on the 3000 that can
decompress something created with pkzip on a PC, then the only one I
know of is the Java utility JAR.
