I am gathering information for what will eventually be a pretty large
migration project. We have about 1,000,000 lines of COBOL (Protos, actually),
300,000 lines of Powerhouse code, 300,000 lines of miscellaneous MPE job
control and other stuff, and approximately 70 Gigabytes of data in roughly 700
TurboImage datasets. We typically have 275 concurrent users on our HP3000
now.

No budget or timeline has been set yet. Our corporate IS department would
prefer if we migrate to IBM AIX (pSeries) with DB2 Universal.

At this point I am just identifying services and tools. Please email me if
you are a vendor. (Obviously those who have already contacted me don't need to
do so again.)

We will be getting together an RFP sometime "soon". We would, of course, be
particularly interested in hearing from vendors that have experience that
match our needs-- Protos/Powerhouse, AIX/DB2 as a target, and the size of the
project.
