Looks like HP's been printing posters:

   http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/021004/40210_1.html

"Dick Clark Unveils ''HP Invent America,'' Celebrating Nation's Spirit of
Inventiveness
World's Largest Digital Image Features More Than 113,000 Images, Including
Photos of Joy Behar, Colin Cowie, Gavin MacLeod and Henry Winkler"

"The football field-sized Photomosaic(TM) is made of 700 four-foot by
eight-foot tiles totaling 22,400 square feet."

Hmmm. From:

   http://www.aics-research.com/poster/

it would appear that Wirt's poster was bigger:

"ANAHEIM, Calif. -- More than 100 HP 3000 customers and channel partners
succeeded in assembling the world's largest printed poster here, building a
document of about 36,000 square feet on a high school football field."

Maybe AICS should issue a press release to correct the record :-)

G.
