transfer was binary. EOFs matched. Have not tried HPUX. The size of
the STD file is what I'm suspecting -- it's ~3.5Gb. FTP is not the very
latest (but have cut a CSLT for a weekend update):

I had to purge the original file (did NOT want it going in our daily
backups). I did *not* [DOH!] try the ;LISTDIR before I started FTPing
it around, but am working on either recreating the error or narrow it
down to FTP. The same procedure had been done with a much smaller STD
file before in testing, this was the first "real" test, so it should be
procedurally sound. Will let you know what I find (or not).
