I was hard-pressed to find any credentials of Mr. Card as a Democrat. He's a science fiction writer famous for, among other things, a musical called Barefoot to Zion, which played to sold-out houses in Salt Lake City as part of the Mormon church's sesquicentenial celebration.

This poseur of a Democrat also writes under the names of Byron Walley and Dinah Kirkham. Just another right-wing kook, IMHO.

I can do that because, although not a genius, I am not brain dead.

It wasn't the nature of the author's opinion that made it ridiculous.
It was the irrational presentation. It is difficult to consider it a
"political thought".
