I have found JETADMIN software to be valuable in this area. It's focus
is on the jet direct card and the state of the printer no matter where
the output was generated from.

I have 2 networked Laserjet 5Si's.  These are set up as printers for
my 969, but since they are on our network, some PC's print directly
to them as well.  I would like to know if it is possible to somehow
query
the printers to see if anything is printing right then ( whether it is
from
the HP or a PC ).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
