We are moving to a new EMC frame. But they tech arch team would like to
move from 12 fast wide channels down to 5. My question is what are the MPE
i/o block sizes on transfer. Currently I have a 997/600 with 3 HSC bus
cards which have 3 or 4 fast wides on each and one on the system card
0/28/52. Each channel has 4-4.3 gig drives down each chain. Also currently
averaging 500 i/o per second. any comments are appreciated. Moving to a
emc 8730 and sharing it with inefficent unix servers
