Ok, so if I try to dump some Ci vars into a file as each session terminates,
how do I do it to a permanent file please? Every attempt so far has produced
a temp file, and I want to add all the logoff data to one file so I can
analyse it.....
As
SETVAr log "!hpdatetime"
Echo "!log" >>filename
Filename is always temp.
Even if I do
FILE LOGFILE=logfile,old
Echo "!log" >>*logfile
I get an error, no can do.

TIA,

If each user has a home group (and they stay there), the :REPORT command
will give you cumulative connect and CPU time. Connect time reflects
the time that sessions are logged on (jobs don't count toward connect,
but do contribute to CPU total).
Note this recording is done by group/account, not user, so might not
exactly fit your request. But if so, it's an easy answer :-)
