Hello Mark,

As an interim "workaround", you could possibly use "get" to get the
required bytestream file. I think get goes through without a hang.

ftp> get ./rcs.rc TESTBYT
---> RNFR ./rcs.rc
350 File exists, ready for destination name.
---> RNTO ./rcs.rc
250 RNTO file action successful.
---> SITE BUILDPARMS ./rcs.rc
213 "./rcs.rc": REC=,,B;DISC=2147483647,8
---> PORT 15,70,188,48,187,76
200 PORT command ok.
---> SITE FILELABEL RETR ./rcs.rc

150 File: ./rcs.rc opened; data connection will be opened
---> SITE USER_LABELS ./rcs.rc
213 "./rcs.rc": 0,0
---> PORT 15,70,188,48,187,77
200 PORT command ok.
---> RETR ./rcs.rc
150 File: ./rcs.rc opened; data connection will be opened
226 Transfer complete.
