Well, there are many ways to accomplish your task:
1) Use one of the third-party ODBC products which, I believe, will allow
direct access to the KSAM data from a PC.
2) Write a program on the HP in your favorite computer language to create
a sequential (flat) file of the KSAM data which you then download to the
PC and import into MS Access. I do this all the time. MS Access can
import fixed length ASCII records into existing tables with no trouble.
3) This is the same as #2, except you can use Suprtool (from Robelle
Consulting) to extract the KSAM data into a flat file for import into
MS Access.
