I had similar problem on HP Laserjet IIP. I had to print labels
containing the usual triangular icon of "RADIOACTIVITY" danger and text
and certificates using several fonts from the same program. The printer
rejoined "ERROR 20" message. The macro for the icon and the Hungarian
fonts overloaded its memory. What could I do?

1.) I discovered that some fonts are not used on the outputs. These might
be omitted from the downloading procedure.

2.) The laser printer collects and prints the information by logical pages.
When I used as log logical pages as long the physical pages were, I got
instead of the expected 7 rows and 3 columns of labels on an A4 size page
5 x 3 good labels and then the next macro call for icon printing caused
the "ERROR 20". Solution: I issued a printer command before the label
printing which defined a lower logical page size enough for 5 x 3 labels.
Some paper is wasted, that's all.
