Thanks Steve for your reply.  I had been wondering about taking AM
away, but wasn't sure about the consequences.  There's no particular
need for it - it's just that historically they've always had it and,
upto recently, there has only been 1 or 2 (including myself & my
predecessors) in the team so there was no real need not to have AM.
It's still only a small team, so I just need something simple to keep
source changes separate.  I might see what removing AM does in terms
of their work practices.
