This may just be a semantics issue. The future is IMAGE/SQL, so HP may be
discontinuing the non-SQL-enabled TurboIMAGE. But as a family of DBMSs, I
am not worried a but that IMAGE is being discontinued. I think HP
realizes that trying to re-energize interest in the 3000 is doomed if
IMAGE is going away .... at least I hope they realize that. I mean look
at the hue and cry when IMAGE was simply *unbundled* from the OS for
marketing reasons.
