We've pretty much demonstrated off list that it is not the client email
reader. With some valuable outside help, I additionally subscribed to 3000-L
thru a POP3 server and retrieved this email with Outlook 98, same as my
regular subscription through cgiusa.com. That additional subscription did
not see "equal mangling". Also, Michael Anderson copied me on his recent
posting. The on list post had mangling, and the direct copy did not.

Tom, I would be curious to know what flavor server your Eudora client
connects to. Here, we use MS Exchange on our server. For whatever reason
(and this is not an invitation to start MS bashing, anymore than we need to
see Novell GroupWise bashing), something is not quite right with posting
between GW's quote printable and MS Exchange. I'm still not quite sure what
that is. Of course, not everyone sees this problem. Also, if you see a
mangled posting and look at other postings from the same person, they will
probably all show mangling. But there are exceptions.

I don't know if everyone who has helped with this cares to get credit or
not, but as one of those who sees the equal mangling, I appreciate the
effort to resolve this. I will thank those obviously involved in looking at
this, Michael Anderson, and Jeff Kell.
