Hi Donna:
All you have to do is use 'START DBE' your_dbe NEWLOG...' to create new
logfile for the restored dbe.

hi all!
(fine question for a friday afternoon, huh?)
we moved an allbase dbe/database from one system to
another. now when the users attempt to connect, they get:
START DBE disallowed: DBEnvironment points to a wrong log
file. (DBERR 3106)
i can't seem to find the allbase manual that covers error
messages (probably has something to do with it being
friday....). any thoughts? - d
