I've been reading this thread which unfortunately applies to our 3K's as
well.  After almost 20 years as a 3K environment we will be one no more!!!

Management, despite the recommendations of IS and much info provided to
them, have decided that we are going to proceed with a change in our IT
infrastructure.

Our two HP3000's (one here in the US (969) and another over in Europe(927))
are going to be replaced by a single quad-processor NT server running Oracle
that will be located here in the US!!

It is definitely a sad day....when technology is sent packing to be replaced
by an environment that does not provide the same quality, stability,
security and capabilities that the HP3000 offers an organization.
