If your definition of 'clean' includes having the columns line up, you can
have endless fun with the lft & rht functions, as in

:file x = x, old
:echo ![lft("!hpuser ",10)] ![lft("!hpaccount ",10)] ![rht(" !hpconnmins",10)]
>>*x


I have some command files that simplify some of the task, partly by hardwiring
some of my preferences...  Posted them on March 14 under the subject 'backup
logging (long, sorry)'
