Amongst the nice features mutt has are
  1) 3 reply methods: reply to sender, reply to sender and all recipients and
                      reply to list.
  2) a send-followups-to message when sending to the list which is supposed to
     tell mail clients, "If you are doing a group reply, don't bother sending
     to me as well because a reply to the list will reach me fine."
