Gary
There was some discussion on the list last December, subject '2934A
replacement...was "End of Support?"'. Jon Broz posted a message saying that
the 2934A replacement is the P405, made in Germany by PSi.

Subject: Serial Printers replacements for Rugged writers?
Date: Saturday, 21 February 1998 07:00

After 40 minutes of voice mail hell I give up HP 800 number stink.

Since getting our notice of HP support on serial printers we have tried to
get info from HP on what to replace them with. In our case we do not need
dot matrix printers but we do need printers that can hook up to the HP 3000
serial.

In the past we have used HP 4L's hooked up via a product from Wilco Aims
called the print cube plus that would take the serial convert to parallel
and handle the status checking that is necessary to the 3000 for printer
out of paper etc. But Wilco has gone out of business.

Anybody have any ideas.

HP sure makes it hard to get answers now. I remember the good old days when
you could call some one and get an answer now all you get is music and
people who do not know what a 3000 is.

opinions are mine and so is the smoke from my ears.
