Well, since I was somehow blessed by the HP3000 marketing "gods" with a
November 1995 price list, I guess I have a responsibility to use this gift
wisely and share the information ;)
The prices listed for APS are the same as the ones Stan lists from his 1993
price guide. The prices for the SPT collector and analyzer are different.
Not only that, they are listed very differently, and in a manner that really
doesn't make much sense to me. Rather than being shown by option-number or
cpu-size-category, they are shown in "quantity". Why would they price it
this way? Oh well, HP didn't give me the gift of interpretation - just the
price guide itself. :)
SPT/iX Collector: $500 for Qty 1-3. $450 Qty 4-6. $383 Qty 7-9. And $306
Qty 10-99999.
SPT/iX Analyzer: $2,000 Qty 1-3. $1,800 Qty 4-6. $1,530 Qty 7-9. And
$1,224 Qty 10-99999.

Wirt, and others, have asked me about order numbers and prices for SPT/iX
and Sampler.
Yes, they have order numbers...and prices (at least, as of June 1993!)
SPT/ix comes in two parts: collector and analyzer. (You need both.)
Sampler, which only runs on the Classic HP3000, is officially called
APS/3000 (Application Program Sampler).
