I too am interested in whether it's possible to execute a script prior to
the UPS running out of battery power, say after some (user defined) period
of operating on the UPS without power, a graceful shutdown script gets
executed, much like the SYSSTART.PUB.SYS gets executed on startup. That
way applications can be gracefully closed. We're upgrading from 957 to
969 and I've HEARD from an HP CE working with us that this is possible,
but somehow felt the answer was a little 'soft', ie sounded reasonable,
but not real sure the hardware/software support was really there. Does
anyone know FOR SURE if this is possible? Thanks.

<Subject: Incorporating UPS in 9x7

<After lots of research on incorporating a HP PowerTrust UPS into use on
<our 937 .....
<One thing that would be beneficial with the ups is the ability to
<initiate a UDC or command file when power is interrupted so you could
<begin to shutdown the processes, set limits, etc. before power loss....
