This makes me think.  In 1977, when I worked for my first employeer, they
purchased an HP3000 Series II with $125,000 down and then paid $1500+ a
month.  I think that monthly cost went for both the box as well as
hardware & software support.

Oh yea, We started with only one disk drive, a 50mb HP7920.

Things have changed just a bit......but I'm sure there is some binary code
from those days that will still run on the current 3000's.

Now that's longevity!
