It should be Monday.... we lost ldev 1 (sysdisc) about 1 hour ago (I haven't
heard a head crash before, know I have).

Is there any way to save off the data that is on the other drives before we
reinstall the system?

Years ago I remember being told to keep data bases off sysdisc so you could
recover the data from the other drives .. great .... now how do you do it?

This is the first time we have had an actual hardware failure on our 5 year
old 947.
And the first time we have had an System failure since 1992.
