I have the 5Si spooled on our two HP3000/948. It is also connected to
the network over TCP/IP. The serial interface is manufactured by
Extended
Systems (tel. 208-322-7575), it's Serial Link card P.N. ESI-2633. I
don't
remember the price but it was somewhere around $300 (I think).
By the way, networked printers are now supported under MPE/ix 5.5
