Same thing happened here when we moved our production 968 from 4 to 5.5.
Some (not all) jobs would take twice as long or even more, to complete. 2
hour jobs would need 5! Jobs that heave been running Sunday nights for
months, suddenly wouldn't be finished on Monday morning. We looked and
searched and got in touch with HP and analyzed and examined and logged
dummy runs and ... well, the jobs in question still take 2 or more times
longer to complete. Eventually I had to adjust the stream times to allow
for the excess duration. This isn't much help and I don't know if it's
'normal' but it's kind of nice to know it's not "unique" any more, as
implied by HP !!

Aprox 2 Drachmas worth,

Subject: MPE/ix v 5.5

I updated MPE/ix from 5.0 to 5.5 pp4 over the weekend. The process went
fairly well and took about 6 hours. I was a bit displeased, however, to see
my batch jobs taking up to 42% longer to complete, with the average being
about 30%. YIKES! I expected to take a performance hit, but is this normal?
We are running a 937LX with 128Meg of memory.
